Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high acidity, dry

Vorberg is Cantina Terlano's flagship Pinot Bianco Riserva, from steep, sandy porphyry slopes above Terlano in Alto Adige at up to about 900 metres. It is fermented and aged for about a year on the lees in large traditional oak casks, which builds texture without obvious wood. Young, it is taut and mineral, with apple, pear, citrus peel and chamomile. With bottle age it turns richer and more complex, taking on almond, honeyed and flinty notes, while its high acidity keeps it fresh. It is one of Italy's most celebrated and longest-lived whites.
