Eric Jensen of Booker Vineyard created this in honour of his parents, Harvey and Harriet Jensen, sourcing from sustainably farmed Paso Robles vineyards belonging to friends. It is Cabernet-led but deliberately eclectic — the 2023 runs 62% Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Malbec and a little Grenache and Mourvèdre, so it draws on nearly every red grape Paso grows. Eighteen months in a mix of new and neutral French oak. Violets and boysenberry over black cherry, cocoa, leather and baking spice, full-bodied with silky, chalky tannin. Rich and openly drinkable rather than austere.
