Stag's Leap Wine Cellars' Napa Valley red blend, built on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in roughly equal measure with a little of the other Bordeaux varieties, and aged in French oak. The Merlot softens the Cabernet's frame into an approachable, generous wine: black cherry, cassis and plum with cocoa, vanilla and cedar, supple tannins and a rounded finish. Made to drink well on release and over the following several years rather than for long cellaring.
