Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry
Seresin farm biodynamically in Marlborough and make Pinot Noir in a deliberately restrained register — whole-bunch fermentation, native yeasts, minimal handling. Rachel is a single-block bottling named for one of the estate's vineyards. Red cherry and cranberry over forest floor, dried herbs, a peppery whole-bunch lift and a savoury undertow. Medium-bodied with high acidity and fine, supple tannin. Closer in shape to Burgundy than to the sweetly fruited New World style.
