Felseneck Riesling Kabinett

Tasting profile

Structure: light-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, off-dry

A filigree Nahe Kabinett from Tim Fröhlich's steep Felseneck slope above Bockenau, fermented in steel and bottled at around 8.5% alcohol. Blue and grey slate gives a smoky, stony edge to green apple, white peach and lime; the gentle sweetness is held in check by bright, racy acidity, so it reads more vibrant than sweet and gains honeyed, petrol-tinged depth with a few years in bottle.
