Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high acidity, sweet

A Tokaji Aszú from the Patricius estate, about 70% Furmint and 30% Hárslevelű. Botrytised aszú berries are macerated in fermenting base wine, then the wine matures some two and a half years in small Hungarian oak barrels, finishing with around 145 g/l of sugar balanced by Tokaj's vivid acidity. Apricot, orange marmalade, quince and honey with orange-blossom and white-flower lift; rich yet fresh, with a long, tangy finish. Built to age for decades.

Serving: Serve at 8–10 °C.
