The flagship of a single-block vineyard above Osoyoos Lake in the south Okanagan, made on Bordeaux lines by Groupe Taillan and blended in 2020 from 66% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 8% Malbec and 3% Cabernet Franc. Twelve months in French oak, split evenly between new, one-year and two-year barrels. Merlot leads with black cherry and wild blackberry, the Cabernets and Petit Verdot supply the frame, and cedar and toasted oak sit behind — but the signature is a dry, savoury dusting of Okanagan sagebrush that no Bordeaux would give you. Full-bodied and powerful, with dense tannins that have grown more refined in recent vintages, and cool-night acidity keeping it upright.
