Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry
Tempranillo from Tierra del Vino de Zamora, one of Castilla y León's smaller and less familiar appellations, sitting between Toro and the Duero's western reaches on stony, sandy soils at altitude. A Reserva here means at least three years' ageing with a year or more in oak, and the wine shows it: dark cherry and plum over vanilla, leather and sweet spice, full-bodied with ripe, firm tannin. Warmer and rounder in style than Ribera, without Toro's sheer muscle.
