Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Muret-Gaston's Rhône-style Rouge from the historic Boushey Vineyard in the Yakima Valley, a Syrah-led blend lifted by a substantial share of Cinsault, made in small hand-picked lots and aged in French oak. Red and black fruit (raspberry, blackberry, plum, cassis) meets pepper, anise, black tea and a touch of mocha. Silky and layered with bright, tart freshness and fine tannins, closer in feel to the northern Rhône than to a big New World Syrah. Approachable young, and it rewards several years in bottle.
