Board Track Racer is Mark Ryan Winery's second label, and this is its Columbia Valley Cabernet (lately sold as "The Chief"): mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a share of Merlot and a little Petit Verdot, aged in French oak. It is a ripe, full-bodied Washington Cabernet with black currant, black cherry and plum over cocoa, tobacco and vanilla, and a firm tannic frame that softens with a few years in bottle.
