Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry
Arya is the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Manvi, a small organic estate in the southern part of the Montepulciano DOCG that has made wine since 2015. It is a Sangiovese, and the estate describes long ageing in medium-toast oak followed by time in bottle before release. Falstaff scored the 2016 at 90 points, finding dark ruby colour, ripe raspberry, undergrowth and liquorice with a hint of coffee grounds on a compact, taut palate with gripping tannins. A structured Sangiovese for grilled red meat and game.
