Paradoks

Tasting profile

Structure: light-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, dry

Paradoks is Louis Le Sueur's half-and-half blend of Cinsault and Pinot Noir, the two parents of Pinotage, bottled together rather than crossed. The Cinsault comes from old vines planted in 1966 at Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo and the Pinot Noir from the cool Outeniqua area, both fermented naturally after a few days on the skins. Pomegranate-red, with red cherry, strawberry and rose petal over a little earthy spice: light, fresh and charming, made for its first few years.

Serving: Serve at 13–15 °C.
