Grande Cuvee

Tasting profile

Structure: light-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Joseph Cattin's house at Voegtlinshoffen has been in family hands since 1720, and Crémant is a substantial part of what they make. This Grande Cuvée is Pinot Blanc-based, made by the traditional method and aged on its lees before disgorgement, which gives the fine, persistent mousse Crémant d'Alsace is known for. Green apple and pear with white blossom and a light brioche note from the lees, finishing dry and crisp. An apéritif style at its best in the first few years after release rather than a Crémant to cellar.
