Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Jordan's Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a Bordeaux-inspired blend: Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller parts of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, in proportions that vary by vintage. It is aged in oak and given further time in bottle before release. The style favours elegance and moderate alcohol over extraction: black cherry and cassis framed by cedar, a gentle herbal note and polished, fine tannins. It drinks well on release and good vintages develop over a decade or more.
