Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Campo Leòn is the Amarone of Ilatium Morini, a family estate of seven cousins in the eastern Valpolicella that has bottled its own fruit since 2004. About 70% Corvina with Rondinella and a little Croatina and Oseleta, air-dried for 100 to 120 days and aged 30 months in barrel: intense dark and sour cherry with redcurrant, tobacco, spice and dried fig, full-bodied and ample at around 16% alcohol. Decant it; built for a decade or more.
