Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

A 100% Malbec from Frichette, the Red Mountain family winery of Greg and Shae Frichette, sourced from the Scooteney Flats and Quintessence vineyards and aged about 20 months in French oak. Deep purple, with blackberry and blueberry on the nose; bold blackberry fruit on the palate moves to ripe raspberry with a caramel touch from oak on the finish. Full-bodied and generous, with Red Mountain's ripe, firm tannins. Approachable within a couple of years of release and good for most of a decade.
