Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Syrah from the Chaussonot lieu-dit in Saint-Désirat, at the northern end of Saint-Joseph, where François Grenier farms about 1.5 ha of 20-25-year-old vines on south-facing granite. Violet, blueberry and blackberry with black pepper, a touch of vanilla and cedary spice from oak; medium-bodied, with fine, peppery tannins and a long, savoury finish. Classic granite Syrah that rewards a few years in the cellar.
