Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Cuvée Eugène honours Eugène Labet, who planted these Chardonnay vines in Les Varrons in 1945; today his descendants at Domaine Labet in Rotalier farm them organically. Fermented and aged on the lees in old 228-litre barrels for about 23 months, topped up. Yellow and red apple, ripe citrus, white flowers and honeydew over deep minerality; concentrated and long.

Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
