Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Les Juvéniles Lias is Domaine Labet's younger-vine Chardonnay from Liassic marl soils around Rotalier, one of a pair with the Bajocien that contrasts the two geologies of the southern Jura. Native-yeast fermented and aged about 20 months in 228-litre barrels, topped up. Lemon and green apple with white flowers and a light hazelnut note, broader and more saline than its limestone sibling.

Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
