Cairanne became a southern Rhône cru in its own right in 2016, and while it is far better known for reds, its whites are a genuine speciality. The blend here is the classic one: Clairette and Grenache Blanc for structure and freshness, with Roussanne and Viognier adding weight and stone-fruit perfume. Expect white peach and apricot over honeysuckle and white flowers, with a fennel-and-almond savouriness that stops it turning merely fat.
