CVNE's classic Rioja Gran Reserva (sold as Cune), mostly Tempranillo with Graciano and Mazuelo from old bush vines around Torremontalbo in Rioja Alta. Aged up to two years in American and French oak and at least three years in the cellar before release. Dried cherry and plum with vanilla, cinnamon, leather and tobacco; medium-bodied, with fine, mellowing tannins and bright Rioja acidity carrying a long, savoury finish. Drinks well on release and keeps for well over a decade.
