Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry

The estate's signature Cahors, sometimes labelled Cru d'Exception. It is made from 100% Malbec grown on the second and third terraces above the Lot, owned by Alain Dominique Perrin with Michel Rolland consulting. It is aged about 18 months in new and one-year-old French oak. The wine is dark and powerful, with black plum, blackberry and blueberry, violet, black pepper and toasty oak, framed by firm, dense tannins. It needs time and pairs well with duck, beef and truffles.
