Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

The Pécharmant of Château Barouillet, the Alexis family's biodynamically farmed estate in the Bergerac area. The 2022 blends Merlot with Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, each vinified separately with a gentle three-to-four-week maceration and aged about a year, half in old barrels and half in steel, before resting in concrete. Deep violet-ruby, it shows red and black fruit with peppery spice, a fresh texture and supple, rounded tannins.
