Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry
Morasso is Cascina Montagnola's Timorasso, the revived white grape of the Colli Tortonesi, from the estate founded by Bruno Carvi and Donatella Giannotti at Viguzzolo near Tortona. Aged a year in steel partly on its lees and a year in bottle, it is a powerful, intensely mineral white: citrus and yellow apple with botanical herbs and flint, gaining honeyed, nutty depth with age, and a long finish. One of Italy's most age-worthy whites.
