Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
A Rhône-style red from Box Grove Vineyard, the Gough family's estate on the Goulburn River at Tabilk in Nagambie Lakes. The Shiraz and Roussanne are grown side by side and harvested and fermented together, the white grape adding perfume and a silky lift, much as Viognier does in Côte-Rôtie. Blackberry and plum with black pepper and spice, a floral, apricot-blossom note on the nose and supple, fine tannins.
