Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry
Bodega Bouza's single-vineyard Tannat from Las Espinas in Maldonado, a stony site of weathered igneous rock about three kilometres from the Atlantic. Part of Bouza's Las Espinas trio, it is aged in oak and shows cassis, red and blue fruit and violets, with tobacco and a tarry, smoky edge. The tannin is firm and chewy, freshened by the sea-cooled acidity.
