A Bordeaux-variety blend from the Uco Valley — Merlot with both Cabernets and Petit Verdot, grown at altitude where cold nights hold the acidity that Mendoza's sunlight would otherwise burn away. Blackcurrant and dark plum with cedar, cocoa and a savoury herbal edge, full-bodied with firm but ripe tannin. The Petit Verdot supplies colour and backbone, the Merlot the flesh. More structured and savoury than the Malbec Argentina is known for, and it wants food.
