Old No. 52 is Zeron's Red Mountain blend, made by Ellie Zeron from roughly 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Syrah grown at the family's Zeron Vineyard and the neighbouring Casad Vineyard. Red Mountain's warm, wind-swept slopes give dark currant and blackberry fruit and firm, dusty tannins, while the Syrah adds black pepper, savoury spice and a fleshier mid-palate.
