Tabuérniga is a terraced, organically farmed field-blend vineyard of about 2.7 ha at 540 to 630 m near Labastida in Rioja Alavesa. Telmo Rodríguez and Pablo Eguzkiza recovered it, and it is a flagship of their terroir-led approach to Rioja. Mostly Tempranillo with Garnacha, Graciano and other traditional varieties, it is a fine-boned, perfumed red of red cherry, wild strawberry and blood orange with chalky minerality, dried herbs and fine, persistent tannins.
Serving: Serve at 15–17 °C.
