Tasting profile
Structure: light-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, off-dry
A lieblich-style Kerner Spätlese from the Esslingen winegrowers' cooperative, grown on the slopes above the Neckar. Kerner, a Trollinger × Riesling crossing and a Württemberg staple, gives a ripe, aromatic wine: pear, yellow apple and peach with a light nutmeg and muscat lift. Light-bodied at around 10.5% alcohol, with a gentle sweetness (roughly 22 g/l residual sugar) held in shape by moderate acidity. Fruit-led and made for its youth rather than long ageing.
Serving: Serve at 8–10 °C.
