Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

zu Ehren von Arlo is a single-barrel Pinot Noir from SchöneTal Cellars, a tiny family winery in Oregon's Willamette Valley, named in honour of the owners' grandson. It comes from Pommard-clone Pinot Noir at Hirschy Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, fermented 100% whole cluster and aged in neutral French oak. Expect a dark scarlet wine, assertively perfumed with red berry preserve, boysenberry and cherry, Asian spice and smoky mineral accents, with gently gripping tannins and a long, pure finish.
