Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Shiraz from Rutherglen, the warm continental corner of north-east Victoria far better known for its fortifieds — and the heat shows. Ripe blackberry and dark plum with warm spice, cocoa and a liquorice finish, full-bodied and plush with soft ripe tannin. Fuller and more sun-drenched than the cool Victorian districts to the south, and closer in weight to a Barossa Shiraz than to anything from Central Victoria. Generous and made for the table.
