Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

Pietradolce's entry Etna Rosso is pure Nerello Mascalese from 700–800 m on the volcano's northern slope at Solicchiata, grown on sandy, rock-strewn volcanic soils. About eighteen days on the skins and a short spell in oak give bright red berry and cherry fruit with underbrush, an ashy mineral thread and fresh, fine-grained tannins.

Serving: Serve at 15–17 °C.
