Vermentino thrives there: the warmth gives more flesh than the variety shows in Liguria or Sardinia, while proximity to the Tyrrhenian keeps the aromatics lifted and the acidity intact. Morisfarms is a family estate near Massa Marittima, farming in the Maremma since the 1960s. Expect white peach and citrus with white flowers over a saline core and the faintly bitter almond twist Vermentino carries everywhere it grows.
