Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry
Luis Pato's old-vine white from his own vineyards around Bairrada: roughly half Bical from chalky clay, with Cerceal and the rare Sercialinho, which grows on sand. Fermented and kept in stainless steel, it is precise and mineral, with lemon, pear and white flowers over a chalky core and a hint of toasted almond on the finish. High acidity makes it a natural with seafood, and it gains texture and nutty depth over several years in bottle. Bottled as a regional wine (Beiras, now Beira Atlântico) since Pato left the Bairrada DOC.
