Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, sweet
Kopke, founded in 1638 and the oldest Port house, makes its Fine Tawny as a blend of young Ports from traditional Douro varieties led by Touriga Nacional, aged for about three years in stainless steel and wood. Lighter and fresher than the aged tawnies, it combines bright red-berry and dried-plum fruit with first notes of caramel, toffee and nuts from the wood. Bottled ready to drink and not meant for cellaring.
Serving: Serve at 12–14 °C.
