Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, dry
The entry-level Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay from Kellerei Meran (Cantina Merano), the cooperative in Marling near Merano. It is made for freshness rather than oak: clean yellow apple, pear and hints of pineapple and citrus over a floral note. The palate is medium-bodied with bright alpine acidity and a clean finish. Drink within about three years of the vintage. Not to be confused with the cellar's fuller Graf or Goldegg Chardonnays.
