Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Cem Reis Reserva is Herdade da Maroteira's Syrah from clay-limestone soils at the foot of the Serra d'Ossa in the Alentejo, the estate's step below its Mil Reis Grande Reserva. It is aged around 16 months in French and American oak. It is a ripe, generous Syrah of blackberry and black plum with black pepper, sweet spice and a vanilla-toast frame, and its rounded tannins make it approachable within a few years of the vintage.
