Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry
A varietal Alicante Bouschet from Já Te Disse, the small project of brothers Pedro and Rui Patrício on an estate near Estremoz in the Alentejo, whose labels carry drawings by the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira. The grapes are hand-picked at night, foot-trodden in lagares and aged around 14 months in new French oak, with only the best barrels bottled. It is a powerful, deeply coloured red of very ripe black fruit, sweet tobacco, pepper and cocoa, with robust tannins that need time to soften.
