Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry

Gran Clos is the flagship red of Gran Clos del Priorat in Bellmunt, founded in 1995 by Josep M. Fuentes. It blends old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena with a little Cabernet Sauvignon from the slate slopes around the village, aged in French oak. Rich and concentrated: black cherry and fig with liquorice, graphite, roasted herbs and cocoa, framed by firm tannins and the stony freshness of llicorella soils. It ages for well over a decade.
