Estate Pinot Noir

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

Gemini Vineyards' estate Pinot Noir comes from a 26-acre hillside site on Laurelwood soil in the Chehalem Mountains, farmed since 1995 and LIVE and Salmon-Safe certified. It is made by David Paige, formerly of Adelsheim, in lots of around 200 cases, blending young and old vines and several clones. It shows dark ripe cherry, spice and an amaretto note over a firm frame of plentiful, slow-to-fade tannins and fresh Willamette acidity.
