Sgarzon is one of Elisabetta Foradori's single-vineyard Teroldegos from the sandy alluvial soils of the Campo Rotaliano, farmed biodynamically and fermented and aged in clay amphorae rather than oak. That raising leaves the fruit unpainted: blueberry and black cherry with violet, a distinct iron-and-stone streak and dried alpine herbs. Medium-bodied, tightly sprung, with chalky tannin and high acidity — a savoury, transparent Teroldego rather than a plush one.
