Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

Les Blancs Manteaux is a single-parcel Chinon rouge from Domaine de la Noblaie, from roughly 65-year-old Cabernet Franc at the top of the estate's hill on pale tuffeau, the hillside said to be named after the white-mantled Templars. Organically farmed and aged about a year in 500-litre oak. Raspberry, red cherry and violet over graphite and chalk, with a fresh, leafy lift and fine, chalky tannin; more elegant and mineral than the estate's Pierre de Tuf.
