Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry
A cru Juliénas from the Beaujolais estate of Armand Heitz, the Chassagne-Montrachet grower (formerly Heitz-Lochardet), who farms around eight hectares in the Beaujolais, most of it in Juliénas. 100% Gamay from hillside vines at about 450 metres, fermented with whole clusters in Juliénas and aged in Chassagne. Fresh and aromatic, with small red fruits, a floral lift, a herbal, minty edge and silky, fine tannins over a concentrated core. Delicious young, and it holds well for several years.
