Tasting profile

Structure: light-bodied, high acidity, dry

De Iuliis's Single Vineyard Semillon comes from the family's Wilderness Road vineyard in Pokolbin, planted in 1980, and is made in the classic Hunter way: picked early, fermented cool in stainless steel and bottled without oak. Young it is pale and taut, with jasmine, lemon, lime zest and green apple on a fine mineral line. With five to ten years in bottle it builds honey and toast, and good vintages age well beyond a decade.
