Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, sweet
Cleto Chiarli's Centenario Amabile is a semi-sweet, frothy red Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro. The Centenario line was launched to mark the Modena house's hundredth year. Made from Grasparossa alone at about 8% alcohol, with roughly 48 g/l of residual sugar, it shows ripe cherry jam, blackberry and plum touched with cinnamon and pepper. Lively acidity and Grasparossa's grippy tannin keep the sweetness in balance. Serve cool and drink young.
