Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Château Kirwan is a Third Growth (3ème Cru Classé) of Margaux in the 1855 classification, at Cantenac. Cabernet Sauvignon-led with Merlot, a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and since 2019 a touch of Carménère. Quintessential Margaux perfume: black and blue fruit laced with crushed violets, then cedar, graphite and dark chocolate; generous and sensual, with fleshy, rounded, creamy-textured tannin and the structure for long ageing.
