Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Terlano's Lagrein Riserva from Gries, the historic Lagrein quarter of Bolzano, where warm valley-floor vineyards on light, free-draining alluvial soil ripen the grape fully. Fermented in stainless steel, then aged about 12 months in large oak casks (70%) and barriques (30%). Deep ruby-garnet with a violet rim; blackberry, violet and liquorice with spice and a stony note, a juicy, fruit-packed core and fine-grained tannins. Approachable within a few years of release and good for a decade from the better vintages.
