Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry

Lyra is Bründlmayer's Riesling from the Heiligenstein, the Kamptal's most famous hill, an ÖTW Erste Lage of desert sandstone and volcanic rock above Zöbing. It comes from vines trained in the open "lyre" system, which spreads the canopy and ripens the grapes evenly. It is dry and precise, with white peach, lime zest and apricot over a stony, slightly peppery core. Firm acidity gives it the structure to gain honeyed, petrol-tinged depth over a decade or more.

Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
