The top tier of Bodega Boutique El Legado, a small family winery near Carmelo in Uruguay's Colonia department, on the Río de la Plata. Roughly four parts Tannat to one part Syrah, aged in French and American oak. Full and dark, with ripe plum and dried fig, leather, smoke, vanilla and chocolate. Firm Tannat tannin is softened by the Syrah and the barrel time. A gold medallist at Tannat al Mundo 2022.
